Nettie Staples Olin, 93, a former Wenatchee and Entiat resident, died in Clarkston on Friday [January 5, 1979]. Mrs. Olin was born in Colfax, Wis., on October 9, 1885. She married John Boyd Olin on June 10, 1903, there. In the fall of 1904, the family came to Wenatchee. In January 1927, they moved to Entiat where they operated a fruit orchard. Mr. Olin preceded her in death September 28, 1945. In July 1973, Mrs. Olin moved to Clarkston. Mrs. Hazel Cooke, wife of Jay Cooke of the Colockum died in Spokane, Tuesday, March 13, at 2 o’clock. Mrs. Cook has been in poor health for sometime and was in Spokane with her mother, Mrs. Margaret Perry in the hopes of benefiting her condition. The body will be brought to Wenatchee Friday. Mrs. Leota Yocom, 62, of 1121 Cashmere Street and long-time Wenatchee resident, died in a local hospital Sunday morning [October 24, 1952] following an illness of four weeks. She was born January 12, 1892 at Van Wert, Ohio, and she resided in Ohio until 16 years of age when she came with her sister to Wenatchee in 1908. Twisp–Earl William Yocom, 49, a former resident of the Wenatchee area and late of Twisp, died in a Tacoma hospital Monday [April 26, 1965] following a brief illness. Born in Malaga, Feb. 3, 1916, he lived in the Colockum and Wenatchee areas until moving with his family to Twisp in 1931. Glenn C. Charlton native Kittitas Valley resident died July 2 [1961], at the age of 60 at Eastern State Hospital. Charlton was born Aug. 13, 1900 in Ellensburg and attended the No. 18 Nanum Grade School and graduated from Ellensburg High School.
