Reverend Stephen Foreman (1807-1881) was a prominent Presbyterian minister and Justice of the Supreme Court of the Cherokee Nation. He married Sallie W. Riley in 1834, and they had a son, Stephen Taylor Foreman, who wed Ada Carter in 1874. The Foremans had several children, including Taylor Worcester Foreman, an Army captain who served in World War I. The family’s legacy continues through their descendants, with Ada Laura and Perry Ashbrook Foreman among those now deceased. Ada C. Foreman resides in Claremore, Oklahoma.
