Funeral services for Willis D. Carter, 67, 159 E. Idaho, Ontario, a former longtime Baker resident, was conducted Friday, June, 22, at West & Co. Memorial Chapel. The Rev. James Berentson of the Fist Lutheran Church officiated. Interment followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Baker Veterans Organizations conducting graveside honors. Mrs. Nevada Wood Stricken By Death Mrs. Nevada Wood, aged 70, resident of Baker county intermittently for more than 30 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.H. Myers, in North Powder at 7:30 o’clock Monday morning. She was the victim of a heart attack and died while dressing.
