N. Tiedeman, of the firm of Tiedeman & Anthon, dealers in staple and fancy groceries, cigars, tobacco, etc., was born in Prussia in 1842; came to America in the spring of 1866, located in Davenport, Iowa, and engaged in farming; removed to Sioux City the same year; is now an alderman of the city.
