Geo. W. Oberholtzer, civil engineer and county surveyor, was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in 1847; graduated at the Pennsylvania Polytechnic college in 1871; came to this city in 1872. The following year he was elected to his present office, and has been reelected each successive year. He has been township trustee one term, and has, in his line of business, been connected with the railroads of this city.
