Elgin, Union County, Oregon Sudden Death The little 3 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barr died at 6 o’clock Monday morning after an illness of only a few hours. The family had but recently arrived from Kansas City, and, being discouraged by the sudden loss of their little one, they had the body prepared for shipment and left on the train that evening for their former home. Old Stage Driver Buried In Silverton Cyrus W. Barger, one of the oldest coach drivers in the north west, died in Portland, Wednesday of last week, at the age of 76. He was buried at Silverton last Friday, and his body was borne to its last resting place in a hearse drawn by a span of horses.
