He requested that his ashes be scattered over Klickitat, Wash., overlooking the Columbia Gorge. Mr. Pierson was born Feb. 22, 1915, to Elva and Winfred Pierson in Geneva, Neb. Known as Bob, he was born Oct. 16, 1948, to Robert and Phyllis (Eckelman) Pierce in Portland. He graduated from Beaverton High School. Bob served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1971. Homer Emery Pierce, 74, a longtime rancher who worked for the Wilson Cattle Co. for 12 years, died Thursday, May 7, 1987, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. A graveside service for Mr. Pierce was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the North Powder Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Holcomb of the First Christian Church officiated. Hot Lake, Union County, Oregon Dr. Wm. T. Phy Died At Hot Lake Dr. William T. Phy, surgeon and physician of fame throughout the Pacific northwest, passed away at 10:15 o’clock last Saturday morning at Hot Lake. Death was caused by bulbar paralysis, but he had been ill for several months of infectious multiple neuritis. Dr. Phy’s death came as a distinct shock to the entire state, to which his loss is immeasurable, says the La Grande Observer.
