1851 St. Michaels Canada Directory

A Small Village situated in the Township of Hinchinbrooke, County of Beauharnois, C. E. distant from Montreal, 52 miles usual travelling fare, 12s. 6d. Population, about 75.

Masson, Lewis, blacksmith, 3 miles from St.
Michaels, on the Chateauguay River. McGarvey, Edward, saw mill, about 2 miles from St. Michaels, on the Chateauguay River.
McCoy, Archibald. saw mill, on the river side.
O’Grady, Patrick, innkeeper.
Piercy, Seymour, innkeeper, 3 miles above, on the Chateauguay River.
