1851 Demorestville Canada Directory

A Village situated in the Township of Sophiasburg, County of Prince Edward, Canada West distant from Picton, 9 miles, stage fare in winter, 2s. 6d. distant from Belleville, 12 miles by water stage fare. 3s. 9d. distant from North Port, 4 miles. N. B. Northport is the landing place for Demorestville. Population about 300.
