1851 Amherstburg Canada Directory

A Town situated on the Detroit River, in the Township of Malden, Essex County, C. W. distant from London, 138 miles distant from Sandwich, 15 miles usual steamboat fare. Distant from Windsor, 18 miles-usual stage fare, 2s. 6d. Population about 1,300.
