Raine (Will/Skeezix) Miller Wilson, 66, of The Dalles and formerly of La Grande, died June 4 at his home. A viewing and visitation will run from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Moiser Cemetery. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Raine was born Dec. 9, 1941, the youngest of five children to Elmer Craige Wilson and Lorraine Elizabeth (Miller) Wilson in Klamath Falls. He grew up in Klamath Falls and Shelton, Wash. He graduated from Madras High School. After high school he attended college in Yakima.
Raine married Jeanette Flowers on Aug. 5, 1967, and they later divorced. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1964 until May 1966 and was stationed in Germany for one year. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service as an engineering technician for 27 years until his retirement in 1994. He lived in La Grande for many years up until three years ago.
Raine enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy, and her husband, Doug Noyes, of Elgin; son, Shawn Wilson of La Grande; eight grandchildren; and his two sisters, Earleen of Clarksberg, Calif., and Letha of Odell. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dick and Craig.
