Baker Resident Since 1884 Dies

Husband, 3 Daughters, 3 Sons Survive Mrs. Flavius Perkins

Mrs. Flavius Perkins, resident of Baker County since 1884, died Saturday night, March 2, at the family home in the Pocahontas section. At the time of death all members of the family were with Mrs. Perkins, who had been seriously ill for a week.

Aldah Bertha Hannah was born March 16, 1868, in Union, Oregon, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hannah, Union County pioneers. She came to Baker County in 1884 and was married to Flavius Perkins of Wingville in January, 1887. Eight children, of whom six are living, were born to the union.

Mrs. Perkins was an active member of the Wingville Grange and the Baker County Pomona grange.

Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. B. Stover Crabill of Pocahontas, Mrs. Floyd E. Haines of College Place, Washington, and Miss Dorothy Perkins of Pocahontas; three sons, Walter of Baker, Glynn of Pocahontas and Gilbert of Richland, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the West and Company Funeral Parlor at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon with Rev. C.F. Trimble of the Christian Church officiating. Internment will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The casket will not be opened at the services, but the body may be viewed by friends up to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
