Eldon W. Molstrom, 46, Adams resident for many years, died at his home [September 19, 1952] at Milton-Freewater Friday from cancer. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Folsom’s in Pendleton with the Rev. Truman Robbins, First Christian Church at Milton-Freewater, officiating. Burial will be at Olney Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jasper Hodge, Frank Tubbs, and William Coppock, all Adams; William Allen, Milton-Freewater; Glen Bayne, Walla Walla, and Latcher Norvel, Helix.

Born in Pendleton Dec. 27, 1905 Mr. Molstrom received his early education in rural schools, later graduating from Pendleton High School and Oregon State College, where he was a member of Sigma Phi fraternity.

He entered the postal service as postmaster at Adams in 1933 and four years later transferred to rural letter carrier. He was active in the postal organizations, having been a state officer in postmaster and carrier groups. Mr. Molstrom was a member of the First Christian Church at Milton-Freewater, the Adams IOOF Lodge No. 74, the Athena Pythias Lodge No. 29, and the Wild Horse grange.

He leaves his widow Grace, a daughter Sandra Kay and a son John E.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Molstrom, Adams; and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Lorenzen, Mrs. Vernita Reeder, Pendleton, and Mrs. Esther Hansen, Canyon City.
