Dunne, Rita C. Mrs. – Obituary

Rita C. Dunne, 90, of Spokane, Wash., a former Baker City resident, died May 6, 2002, at Spokane.

A vigil service was at 7 p.m. Friday at the Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was said Saturday at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Dunne was born in Baker City on Feb. 18, 1912. She had lived at Spokane for 60 years. She had worked at Fairchild Air Force Base packing parachutes.

Mrs. Dunne was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, where she designed and made the vestments and sanctuary hangings.

Her husband of 44 years, John J. Dunne, died in 1991.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Carol Dunne of Spokane and John and Jan Dunne of Mead, Wash.; a brother, Lawrence Neault of Baker City; a sister, Lois Peterson of The Dalles; two grandchildren, Cheryl and Terry Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Patricia Dunne of Spokane.
