Keithey, Keith Carol – Obituary

Keith Carol Keithley, 76. formerly of Midvale, passed away on Saturday, June 18 in Moses Lake. Washington.

He was born at Weiser on June 28, 1928 to Claude F. Keithley and Agnes Pickett Keithley. He grew up on a ranch west of Midvale, graduating from Midvale High School in 1945, after which he attended the University of Idaho at Moscow.

Keith married Phyllis “Sue” Lesh in Weiser in 1950. They ranched in the Midvale area and later lived in Halfway and Baker City. They had three children, Colleen, Chip and Jay. Keith and Sue were divorced after 15 years of marriage and he later married Wanda Erickson in Olympia, Washington. She passed away in 2002.

Keith spent many years in the livestock hauling business and during those years lived in the Toppinish and Moses Lake area. He was a good truck driver and good with livestock so was a natural for that business.

Keith is survived by his children and their spouses, Colleen and Gary Hubler of Simi Valley, CA., Chip and Patty Keithley of Santa Rosa, CA., Jay and Margaret Keithley of Ontario, along with eight grandchildren, Jami, Jeff, Melissa, Matt, Eric, Suzanna, Jon and Elizabeth and two great grandchildren, Logan and Angel.

He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Tom Holmes of Midvale, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda and his ex-wife Sue who remained a very special person in his life until her death in 1992.

Graveside services will be held in Midvale at the Keithley Creek Cemetery on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 11 a.m.
