Former Flora Resident Dies at Asotin Home
William Lee Evans, 68, former resident of Flora, passed away at his home in Asotin, Wednesday of last week after a lingering illness. He was born in Nebraska May 24, 1875. He married in Nebraska and moved to the West, coming to Asotin in 1920 where he has reside since, engaging in the dairy business.
He is survived by his widow, Bertha Evans of Asotin, and three children, a son, Clifford Evans, and two daughters, Mrs. Odna Hollenbeck and Mrs. Frank Ledford, all of Clarkston. Mrs. Martha Doran, Enterprise, Ore.; Mrs. Ella Smally, Walla Walla, John Evans, Flora, Ore., are his brothers and sisters. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
The funeral was held from H.R. Merchants Chapel in Asotin Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Brown Officiating. -Clarkston Herald.
