Ruby Faye Loennig Burial Saturday

Ruby Faye Loennig, 59, a resident of Haines, died Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Ruby Faye Ledbetter, daughter of Will and Elsie Ledbetter, was born July 20, 1899, at Alicel in Union County. She graduated from Willamette High School and Willamette University and was married to Henry Loennig in Alicel in 1926.

Mrs. Loennig was a member of the Methodist Church; a member of P.E.O.; president of W.S.C.S.; president of Muddy Creek PTA; member and past president of the Mutual Improvement club; a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority; and an active 4-H leader. She had taught school at Muddy Creek and at Bend.

Mrs. Loennig is survived by her husband of Haines; two daughters, Mrs. J. Edgar (Elsie) Newman, Corvallis and Mrs. Richard (Diane) Getchell, Portland; three brothers; Ray Ledbetter, Klamath Falls, Glenn Ledbetter, Walla Walla, and Lyle Ledbetter, Pendleton; three sisters: Eva Miller and Edna Paris of La Grande and Marie Ledbetter of Corvallis; and by four granddaughters.

Services for Mrs. Loennig will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from West & Co. The Rev. Tom Foster will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Hope.

A memorial fund for the Methodist church of Haines has been established and those who wish to donate in Mrs. Loennig’s memory may do so.
