At AccessGenealogy, the privacy of our visitors is of importance to us (See this article to learn more about Privacy Policies). This privacy policy document outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by AccessGenealogy and how we use it.

Log Files

Like many other Web sites, AccessGenealogy makes use of log files. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a piece of software that grabs data about our visitors. It’s something like an advanced server log, but on steroids. It’s the reason I don’t need to use our internal log files.

What does Google Analytics record?

  1. How did you come to AccessGenealogy?
  2. How long did you stay for?
  3. What kind of browser are you using?
  4. Are you using a mobile device?
  5. And quite a bit more.

What do I do with your data?

This information allows me to better understand the kind of people who come to my site, where they come from, and what content on this website are they reading and interacting with. This provides me better information about what new information to include on the website, as well as design decisions.

All of my activity falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.

Want to opt out of tracking?

You can also opt out of Google’s advertising tracking cookie or use a browser plugin to opt out of all Google Analytics tracking software.
