Early Settler Dies At Home In La Grande
Rose Ann Grider, a pioneer settler of Union County passed away at her home at 504 Adams Avenue, last night. She was 88 years, 11 months and 22 days of age. Mrs. Grider is survived by her husband, W. T. Grider, her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Lovan, and by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. A. N. Pullin of Portland, Esther Grace of Silverton and Lowell Hill of Kelso, Washington.
Professor John. J. Horner, of Corvallis, a boyhood resident of Union county and a close friend of Mrs. Grider will be here for the funeral which is to be held here for Thursday afternoon at three o’clock from the Snodgrass & Zimmerman chapel.
Mrs. Grider had been a resident of the valley for 67 years
