Entered the service at Raleigh, N.C., June 17, 1918, and sent to Naval Training Station, Newport, R. I. Account of measles, influenza and rheumatism, was sent to hospital, and out of 14 months in the Navy, 12 months were spent in the hospital. Was in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital at Washington, D. C. Discharged at Washington, D. C., 38% disability, Aug. 12, 1919.
