Satsop Indians. Significance unknown.

Satsop Connections. The Satsop belonged to the coastal division of the Salishan linguistic family, and have usually been classed with the Lower Chehalis.

Satsop Location. On Satsop River, a branch of the Chehalis.

Satsop Population. The population of the Satsop is usually given with that of the Chehalis, but in 1888 a census of the Satsop alone, obtained by Olson (1936, gave 12.

Connections in which the Satsop Indians have become noted. Satsop River and a village called Satsop in Grays Harbor County preserve the name of the Satsop.
