Pharmacist Mate. Enlisted May 7, 1917. Was sent to Hampton Roads, Va., May 27, 1917. Transferred to Navy Yards at Portsmouth, Va., then Naval Hospital, later to Richmond, Va., and to various other points. Sailed on U. S. Marine Hospital Ship “Salos.” Made 12 trips across. Mustered out at Norfolk, Va., Aug. 15, 1919.
