Joseph (2), son of Joshua Woolston, was born in New Jersey. With his wife and two children he came from New Jersey to Ontario county, New York, in 1806. He married Elizabeth Bell, who was also born in New Jersey. At that time it was a journey of three weeks from their old home in New Jersey and much of the country was still a wilderness.
