Dr. Charles William Schaub, a St. Louis physician, was born August 28, 1867, in the city which is still his home, his parents being John and Sophia (Jacob) Schaub. The father, who passed away in 1893, was born in Germany and came to America in 1843. He was a cabinet-maker by trade and long engaged in business on his own account in St. Louis.
