Henry Oswalt, born on April 27, 1840, in Mercer County, Illinois, is a prominent farmer in Stone County, Missouri. He hails from a family of German descent, with his ancestors settling in the U.S. as early pioneers. After marrying Felesha Raker and establishing a successful farming career, Oswalt moved to Stone County in 1888, focusing on agriculture and stockraising. He later married Viola Van Gundey and has a total of seven children from both marriages. Oswalt is regarded as a respected member of his community.
