Opitz

Fred M. Opitz, born in Berlin in 1886, is a prominent figure in Racine’s manufacturing sector, known for founding the Perfex Radiator Company in 1912. After emigrating to the U.S. in 1906, he gained extensive experience in radiator manufacturing. His innovative designs led to the creation of the Perfex radiator, which addressed past shortcomings in radiator technology. Under his leadership, the company expanded significantly. He married Alice Paulsen in 1916 but remains focused on his business rather than public life.
