Biography of Robert Franklin Livingston
Robert Franklin Livingston, born in 1853 in Izard County, Arkansas, was the son of Robert and Polly Livingston. Orphaned at seventeen, he took over the family farm but returned to education briefly before marrying Harriet L. Stinnett in 1872. Together they had four children and improved their farm near Mt. Home, which became one of the county’s best. An industrious farmer involved in cattle and mules, Livingston remained politically active as a Democrat and was a member of the Methodist Church, engaging with his community.
