The series contains original affidavits of registration that record personal information about each registrant, their photograph affixed to the majority of documents, and the registrants fingerprints. All of these are specific to Kansas, and most have the actual documents attached.

Biographical Sketch of Paul Kunze

Paul Kunze, born on March 29, 1866, in Germany, was a prominent florist in Cleveland. He was the son of Samuel and Czernonwski Kunze and began his education in German government schools. After serving three years in the German Army, he immigrated to Cleveland, where he worked with the City Water Works and later the Empire Plant Co. In 1892, he established his florist business and served as its president and treasurer. Kunze was active in various fraternal organizations and enjoyed hunting.
