Was sent to Camp Jackson, S. C. Transferred to Camp Stuart, Va. Sailed for France Oct. 28, 1918. Returned to USA Sept. 19, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Dix, Sept. 29, 1919.
Dr. G. B. Jarrett, physician and surgeon, first came to Dodge City, Kan., in October, 1882, and opened the practice of medicine. He was born in Pittsburg, Pa., in 1846. Educated at Jefferson Philadelphia, Medical College, graduating in medicine March 12, 1870. He began the practice of medicine in St. Louis, Mo., in August 1870, continuing there a year he went to Alameda County, Cal., and practiced his profession seven years. Soon after World War 1 localities across the country wished to honor the men and women who had served the Nation from their locality. St. Charles County, Missouri, is one of these counties.
