Biographical Sketch of Edwin Haakinson
Edwin Haakinson, shipper and dealer in livestock, was born in Norway in 1844; came to America in 1867, and settled in Winnebago County, Wis. In 1862 he enlisted in Co. C., 1st Wis. Heavy Artillary served three years, and was soon after the battle of Lookout Mountain taken sick with the small pox, and taken to the foot of the mountain and left to die; was there alone six days, survived and returned to the company, and was detailed to Gen.
