Biographical Sketch of A. Fossinger

A. Fossinger, born on February 19, 1820, in Pennsylvania, began his career in basket-making before relocating to Ohio in 1842. After eighteen years, he moved to Michigan for seven years, achieving moderate prosperity. In 1867, he settled in Daviess County, Indiana, on a 140-acre farm where he lives contentedly. He married Lucinda Wiser in 1851, and they had six children, of whom five survive. Fossinger’s life reflects a journey of exploration and growth, culminating in a tranquil lifestyle on his farm.
