Ferguson, Benjamin Franklin – Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Ferguson, 93, a lifetime resident of the Ferguson Road are east of Ellensburg, died Saturday at a local nursing home. He was born July 14, 1886, a son of the late James and Elizabeth Ferguson, who settled in the area in 1872. They came here from Shelton. He attended Dysart Rural School No. 5. He and Nora Wyatt were married March 4, 1912. She preceded him in death Jan. 23, 1968. He retired from active farming in 1977. He had been affiliated with the Baptist Church. Ferrier, Ezra L. – Obituary

Ezra [obit says Ed], 83, well-known retired Ellensburg contractor, died at a local hospital Monday [January 6, 1941], following a lengthy illness. A resident of Ellensburg for 37 years, he was widely known throughout this section. For many years he contracted excavation work and house moving here. He is survived by two sons, Jess of Ellensburg and Harry of Malden, Washington, and a daughter, Mrs. Stella McDevitt of Spokane. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Ferrier, Ida Abbott – Obituary

Sudden Death of Mrs. E. L. Ferrier. Mrs. E. L. Ferrier died suddenly at her home in the north end on Wednesday. She had been an invalid for several years, but since coming here about a year ago, she had felt much better, but a hard cold quickly prostrated her and she passed away before it was realized how dangerous her condition was. Ferrier, Jess – Obituary

Jess Ferrier, 67, well known retired Ellensburg contractor, died in a local hospital [October 6, 1948] yesterday afternoon. He had been in failing health for some time. A resident of Ellensburg nearly half a century, Ferrier came here in 1901. He was engaged in the construction and house-moving business for many years. Mrs. Ferrier died four years ago. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Stella McDebitt of Spokane. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Alexander David Ferrier, member of the first Ontario Parliament, and a pioneer in that part of the Township of Nichol on which the village of Fergus now stands, was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, November 13, 1813. His parents were Lewis Henry and Charlotte (Monro) Ferrier. Ferrier, Ida Beaman – Obituary

Mrs. Ida Ferrier, 78, wife of Jess Ferrier, a Kittitas Valley resident more than half a century, died last night October 8, 1944. Born in Iowa, she came to the valley in 1889. Besides her husband, a brother and a sister survive her. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Honeycutt Chapel, with Rev. W. M. Martin officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Ida’s parents were Justice Beaman and Eliza Rhodes. Her first husband was Samuel Cox. She divorced him by 1910.
