The series contains original affidavits of registration that record personal information about each registrant, their photograph affixed to the majority of documents, and the registrants fingerprints. All of these are specific to Kansas, and most have the actual documents attached.

Biographical Sketch of William H. Evers

William H. Evers, born on November 18, 1871, in Cleveland, was a prominent civil engineer. He graduated from Cleveland’s public schools and received a scholarship to Case School of Applied Science. Evers married Ottilie H. Niemam in 1895 and had three children. He served as the Cuyahoga County engineer from 1899 to 1906 and founded The W. H. Evers Engineering Co. and The Concrete Flooring Co. He was active in the Ohio and Cleveland Engineering Societies and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
