Claud T. Earnhardt
Private Claud T. Earnhardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Earnhardt from Pineville, N.C., enlisted on June 24, 1917. After training at Ft. Ben Harrison, he sailed to France on November 18, 1917, where he participated in numerous significant battles, including Woevre, Soissons, and the Meuse-Argonne. He served with the Army of Occupation from November 12, 1918, to April 28, 1919, and returned to the United States on June 1, 1919, before being mustered out on June 7 at Camp Mills.
