Bilyeu, Archie M. – Obituary

Archie M. Bilyeu, retired auto dealer and longtime Portland resident, died Monday [November 6] at 118 Mercury St., Gladstone, where he had made his home since August. He was 78. Born May 3, 1894 in Brownsville, Ore., he had lived in Portland since the early 1920s and at one time was a Kaiser-Frazer dealer there. He was a member of Willamette Lodge No. 2, AF & AM. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; two sons, Wally, Chula Vista, Cal.; Martin, Portland; a brother, Floyd, and a sister, Gertrude Christopherson, both Hemet, Cal.; and two grandchildren. On Monday night at midnight [October 19, 1896] A. J. Bilyeu (Uncle Jack), a resident of Scio for many years, died at the residence of his son-in-law, Jesse Ray of Jordan. As a citizen, Uncle Jack was among our most substantial and trustworthy, always ready to accommodate a neighbor or friend he was respected by everyone. [Andrew was born in 1830 Sangamon Co., IL. Bilyeu, Nettie Edmunsen – Obituary

Mrs. Rupert A. Bilyeu and infant babe died at The Dalles hospital Friday morning [January 13, 1911 for Nettie and January 11 for baby]. She was a native of the city, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edmunson, in her eighteenth year. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Bilyeu, George Franklin – Obituary

At the residence of his parents, in Scio, on Saturday, December 13, 1890, George Franklin Bilyeu, aged 30 years. The immediate cause of his death was hemorrhage of the lungs, but the real cause was being thrown from a wagon loaded with lumber, a portion of which fell upon him, 13 years ago, causing injury from which he never recovered. Vera L. Bilyeu, 66, of Lebanon, died Saturday [May 20, 1989] at Lebanon Community Hospital. She was born Vera Coon on Sept. 18, 1922 in Pleasant Green, Utah. She married Raymond M. Bilyeu in 1944 in San Diego, Calif., and they moved to Lebanon in 1960. He died Aug. 17, 1979. Mrs. Bilyeu was a member of the Lebanon Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
