Whitson, judge of the United States Circuit Court of the Eastern District of Washington, died at his home in this city Saturday night, following an attack of paralysis last Wednesday morning. William Molstrom, aged 50 died yesterday [February 14, 1935] after a heart attack. He is survived by his brothers, Abe Molstrom, John Molstrom, Henry Molstrom, and sisters, Marie H. Nelson, Mamie Somppi, Anna M. Littlejohn. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Bomboy Funeral Home, with Rev. A. F. Van Slyke pastor of the Christian Church officiating. East Oregonian, May 11, 1990 Graveside funeral services for Josephine Snyder will be held at Olney Cemetery on Monday at 10 a.m. Mrs. Snyder, 80, of Pendleton, died Wednesday, May 9, 1990, at Delamarter Care Center in Pendleton. She was born May 19, 1909 at Wilderville, Ore., to Andrew Jackson and Mary Alice Terry Edwards. She attended school in the Portland area and attended college at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho. Mrs. Snyder enjoyed sewing; she crocheted many afghans. Ellsworth V. “E. V.” Cooke, 94, of Grants Pass died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Redwood Terrace. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction. Lyall Keith of Box 300, Walton, passed away February 9, 1970 at the age of 66. He was born November 13, 1903 in Portland, Oregon and had resided in Lane County for the past 31 years. On Monday night at midnight [October 19, 1896] A. J. Bilyeu (Uncle Jack), a resident of Scio for many years, died at the residence of his son-in-law, Jesse Ray of Jordan. As a citizen, Uncle Jack was among our most substantial and trustworthy, always ready to accommodate a neighbor or friend he was respected by everyone. [Andrew was born in 1830 Sangamon Co., IL. Retired Portland City Commissioner Ormond R. Bean, 89, a 31-year servant in city, state and federal governments, died early Friday morning [February 14, 1975] in the Parkview Nursing Home. Death was due to natural causes, said his son, Ormond Bean, Jr. First elected to the Portland City Council in 1932, the elder Bean served from 1933 until 1939 when he was appointed Oregon Public Utility Commissioner. Charlotte May Bryson, 95, of 605 Bryant St., died Saturday at Park Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Waubeek, Iowa, on July 16, 1880, and came west with her parents and family by train to Cove, Ore., in 1886. She attended Ascention School in Cove and later taught school for several terms in Eastern Oregon. Auto Accident Proves Fatal Wendell Hunt Died Monday In Pendleton Hospital From Injuries Wendell Hunt, 21, of Whittier, Calif., who was injured in an automobile accident last week, 15 miles east of Pendleton, died Monday in a Pendleton hospital, where he was taken following the accident. He never regained consciousness. His father and mother who arrived from Whittier two days after the accident, left with the body for Whittier Monday night.
