  1. Hello Everybody! Happy 2024!

We are hoping to discover which tribe we are. My mother’s Great Grand mother was half American Indian from the Bedford, Virginia area. Her name was Malinda Hempsell born in 1844. Malinda’s mother was full blooded American Indian from Bedford, VA. born around 1824.

If anyone has any recollection or knows of a way that we can trace it back and discover which tribe are our people, we’d be so grateful.

Blessings to all, Melinda Hotho & Anne Hotho (email: mhotho@gmail.com)

The family names is Milton Pollard, Rebbecca Mingo, John Pollard, Mary Pollard, Caleb Pollard. Can anyone help me locate the family records to prove that my family have Indian roots. 6. I’m looking to find history from my grandmother’s side. Her grandparents were McClanahan brothers , missionaries from England, who married indian women from this area. This would have been in the 1800’s as my grandmother was born in 1911.
