Martha Grace Boyer, 80, a former Baker County resident, died Nov. 5, 2001, at Good Shepard Hospital at Hermiston. Her funeral was Nov. 9 at Driskill Memorial Chapel at John Day. Interment was at the Prairie City Cemetery. Mrs. Boyer was born on July 20, 1921, at Youngstown, Ohio, to Alexander and Catherine Bubelenyi Racey. As a youngster, she rode five miles to school on horseback and drove cattle on foot. She attended grade school at Malheur City and completed high school in three years at Hereford.
