Biographical Sketch of Wallace McClain
Wallace McClain, born September 16, 1854, in Missouri, is a prominent businessman and community figure in Harney County. After moving to various locations and engaging in diverse occupations, including grocery and flour milling, he settled in Burns. There, he partnered with John W. Biggs to establish a leading livery and horse trading operation. McClain also contributed to the community as a special deputy sheriff and is involved in fraternal organizations. He is married to Eva Whittle, and they have one son, Harry.
