Prillaman, W. L. – Obituary

W.L. Prillaman, section foreman at Union Junction was killed by an O.W.R.& N. helping engine late last week. The engine was backing down the track as Prillaman climbed through the cars on a siding and stepped on the track before it. Death was practically instantaneous. Prillaman is survived by the widow and several children. He was a member of the La Grande lodge of Elks and was an old resident of this district. North Powder News Saturday August 28, 1919

Keefe, John – Obituary

Friday night last at Union Junction, Sheriff Hug shot and probably fatally injured a man named John Keefe, of Moscow, Idaho, who, it appears, was en route to Baker. The attention of the sheriff was called by a passenger to a man who dropped off No. 18, carrying a bundle and hastening toward some freight cars.
