Biographical Sketch of Thomas Fox Thompson
Thomas Fox Thompson, born on May 3, 1848, in the Tahlequah District, was educated in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. He married Susan C. Parks in 1870 and later wed Lillie McBride in 1914. A member of the Deer Clan and known by his Cherokee name, Chisgua-kyah, Thompson was a Methodist who spent two decades in the dry goods and grocery business in Vinita. He also served as a council member for the Delaware District in 1879.
