Elmer Emele Of Baker Succumbs Former Farmer Employed By City for Last 16 Years. Baker City, Baker County, Oregon Elmer A. Emele of Baker died yesterday afternoon at his home on tenth Street after a long illness. Born October 24, 1889, in Rosendale, Missouri, Mr. Emele crossed the plains with his parents when was but four years of age. The family camped here in September 17, 1873 and later moved to Big Creek, which is now known as Medical Springs.
