Gilbert, Clyde J. – Obituary

Clyde J. Gilbert, 85, Nyssa, died January 26, 1971 at Nyssa Memorial Hospital. He was a long time resident of the Nyssa area and a retired farmer. Mr. Gilbert was born Aug. 5, 1885, in Missouri. Survivors include one nephew, Frank Wood, Emmett, and one niece, Mrs. Glen Nichols, Emmett. Services were conducted January 29 at Lienkaemper Chapel by the Rev. Clark, Emma (Bedwell) Mrs. – Obituary

North Powder, Union County, Oregon Died Suddenly At Nyssa Thursday F. A. Bidwell received word Thursday morning of the death of his sister, Mrs. Emma Clark, which occurred early that morning. Mrs. Clark who was staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Miller at Nyssa, Idaho, had risen early and ate her breakfast and seemed in the best of health. Jones, Ethel Ardine Newby Mrs. – Obituary

Ethel Ardine Jones, 88, of Rawlins, Wyo., a former Baker City and La Grande resident, died Dec. 2, 2000, at Rawlins, Wyo., of natural causes. Her funeral was Thursday at the Baker City Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2625 Hughes Lane. Mrs. Jones was born on July 24, 1912, to Robert and Ada Violet Hathaway Newby. She married Charles Ted Gorrell at Buhl, Idaho. Later she married Irvin Nelson Jones on Oct. 10, 1954. He died on Nov. 10, 1995. Mrs. Jones worked in restaurants in Baker City and Nyssa.
