Phillip Hudson Miller, 55, of Pahrump, Nev., died March 19, 2007, at Haines surrounded in love by his sisters, Nina Stephens, Alice Sheldon and LaFawn Smith. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rock Creek Cemetery near Haines. Phillip was born Sept. 13, 1951. He loved horses, farming, and the simple life. He was a skilled craftsman and he was very talented in woodworking. Survivors include his three sisters and their families; his children, Leanna Bond, Julie Miller, Sarah Miller and Aaron Miller, and their families; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and four grandchildren. Reeder, Della – Obituary

La Grande, Oregon Della Reeder, 77, of Pahrump, Nev., and formerly of La Grande died Sept. 17. A memorial service is planned in Pahrump Saturday. Mrs. Reeder was born to Bertha Gandy on Jan. 27, 1929, in Idaho. Her father died very early and she was raised by a stepfather, Wayne Gillis. Mrs. Reeder went to first grade in La Grande, but grew up in Summerville. Her family remembers that the man who would be her husband, Wayne Reader, proposed to her in third grade. Monty Lee Hack, 68, of Tonopah, Nev., a former Baker County resident, died Jan. 26, 2007, at his home after a short illness. Monty’s body will be cremated and his remains will be scattered at the cow camp he loved on a ranch near Tonopah. Baker City, Oregon Betty Chadsey Roumpf, 87, a former longtime Baker City resident and community volunteer, died April 7, 2003, after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease for more than a decade.
