Funeral services for Amos D. Robinette, 77, of Newbridge, a lifetime Baker county resident, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday Feb. 12, 1970 at Christian Church at Richland, Oregon. Leora Sharp will officiate and the Pine Masonic Lodge No. 149 A.F. & A.M. will participate. Interment will follow in the family plot at Eagle Valley Cemetery, Richland, Oregon. Mr. Robinette was born on New Years Day, Jan. 1, 1893 at Robinette, Oregon, the son of pioneer parents, James E. and Eva Lincoln Robinette. Adele Maxwell Died at Age 95; Noted School Teacher 50 Years Adele Powell Maxwell 95, whose life was school teaching in the small communities of this Eastern Oregon region, but whose later years were on a ranch near Vale, died March 17, 1991, at the Columbia Basin home in The Dalles. Albert J. Perkins Died at Newbridge Wednesday night Albert J. Perkins, a well known resident of Eagle Valley, died after a lingering illness at the family home in Newbridge. Mr. Perkins was born in Vermont, August 11, 1844. He served in the Civil War as a volunteer from Michigan. In 1865 he was married to Clara A. Dwinell of Cooper, Michigan. Mr. Perkins with his family, moved to Eagle Valley in 1894, which has since been his home. An illness of only a few days Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of Vester William Gover, 47, farmer of the Wingville district for 20 years. Mr. Gover was stricken with what was later diagnosed as a rupture of a major artery which caused abdominal and circulatory complications. He was born Sept. 17, 1909 in New Bridge, the son of David S. and Pearl L. Thorp Gover. He attended schools at the Baker Academy, at Sunnyside and Richland high school.
