Wright, Charles – Obituary

Charles William Wright, 73, passed away Tuesday at Pondosa. He was born September 18, 1870, at Thayer, Kan., where he was married on May 23, 1891, and where he worked as a farmer until he came to Baker last December. Mr. Wright’s father was a brother of the late Dunham Wright of Medical Springs. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nannie V. Wright; a son, John Wesley Wright; a daughter, Mrs. Eunice W. Dryden, all of Pondosa; a brother, Frank Wright, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry Davis and Mrs. Eva Fraser of Altoona, Kan. Funeral services will be held … Read more

Rolla Edwin Long, superintendent of the city schools of Galena, is an educator of wide and diversified experience in the schools of this state, and has spent altogether upwards of twenty years in a profession which is one of the most important to the welfare of mankind.
