Biographical of George W. Salisbury

George W. Salisbury is one of the younger men in Kansas educational affairs, and is principal of the Atchison County High School at Effingham, and is also president of the Atchison County Teachers’ Associntion. Mr. Salisbury is a native of Illinois, and is a graduate of the university of that state. He was born on a farm in Fulton County, Illinois, November 17, 1888. His ancestors, the Salisburys came originally from England, and there is also an admixture of French stock in the lineage. Pioneer of 1886 Dies In Wallowa Wallowa, Oregon Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Spencer, a Wallowa County Pioneer, passed away at her home in Wallowa, Sunday, January 20, 1935. She was nearly 90 years old. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Church in Wallowa, conducted by Reverend Walter Meyer, pastor, assisted by Reverend L. B. Williams of the Presbyterian Church, and Dr. H.W. Oliver, an old neighbor. Burial was in the Wallowa Cemetery.
