Biography of Col. William B. Jordan
Col. William B. Jordan, born in 1808 in Virginia, is a prominent farmer in Baxter County, Arkansas. He began farming at age 20 and moved to Alabama in 1835, where he engaged in planting and milling until the Civil War, during which he lost significant property. After relocating to Arkansas, he developed a 1,000-acre estate. A successful businessman and community leader, he has served as justice of the peace and held various military ranks. He was married twice and has several children, with roots tracing back to Revolutionary War soldiers.
