Biographical Sketch of Frank N. Moore

Frank N. Moore, born on October 31, 1871, in Ware, Massachusetts, dedicated his career to public service and business in Ludlow. He began his professional journey as a clerk at the Ware post office, later joining the Ludlow Manufacturing Associates, where he advanced over 25 years to become assistant paymaster. In 1918, he was appointed treasurer of the Ludlow Savings Bank. Active in community affairs, he served on the school committee and held various positions in local fraternal organizations. Moore married Mary A. Trombly in 1893.

Biography of Charles S. Browning

Charles S. Browning, born on July 7, 1854, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, was a prominent druggist and civic leader in Ludlow. After starting his career at 16 with his brothers in Connecticut, he established the Browning drug store in Ludlow in 1880, gaining recognition as a successful pharmacist. He served as town treasurer for over twenty years and was involved in local banking. Browning was also a Mason and a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He married twice, first to Carrie H. Crowningshield and then to her niece, Edith H. Crowningshield.

Biography of John E. Nilsson

John E. Nilsson, born on November 15, 1884, in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, was a prominent figure in Ludlow. After a brief clerical career at Chapman Valve Manufacturing Company, he joined the Steven Duryea Plant before co-founding A. H. Bartlett Co. in 1912. A dedicated community member, he has served as a trustee of the Ludlow Savings Bank and secretary of the town’s finance committee. A Mason and active in various organizations, Nilsson married Katherine Bartlett in 1911 and they have one son, Edwin.
