Baker City, Oregon Wayne A. Evans, 67, a longtime Baker City resident, died Feb. 21, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Health Services. At Wayne’s request, his body was cremated. There will be no formal funeral. There will be a potluck celebrating his life at 6 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene, 1250 Hughes Lane. Wayne was raised at San Diego where he entered the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the military, he moved to Oregon where he met his wife, Lorrena. Ellsworth V. “E. V.” Cooke, 94, of Grants Pass died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Redwood Terrace. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction. Kenneth A. Daugherty, 69, of Grants Pass, a former Baker City resident, died Jan. 15, 2002, at the Three Rivers Community Hospital at Grants Pass.
